Accepts and returns calls from patients and vendors.
Sends out patient reminders for scheduled oral health care.
Uses office equipment, such as telephones, computers, fax machines and scanners.
Performs impeccable office manners and interpersonal skills.
Maintains a professional and friendly disposition with clients at all times.
Processes billing adhering to procedures.
Verifies patient’s demographic information for processing.
Ensures confidentiality and security of patient information.
Schedules, maintains and updates patient appointments.
Maintains patient records and documentation including lists of medications, allergies, treatments, dental plans, X-rays, and current insurance plan.
Maintains and collects co-pays, cash, and enters information for reconciliation with the finance department on a daily basis.
Emergency duty may be required of the incumbent that includes working in Red Cross shelters or to perform other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to threats or disasters, man-made or natural. Additionally, incumbents are required to perform emergency response and management duties for Palm Beach County as required.
